2010 Alameda County Fair - Come out and Play

It’s time to start thinking about the upcoming Alameda County Fair. Do you have a talent in baking, sewing, photography, wine making, jewelry or home beer brewing? These are just some of the categories that are judged at the fair. Maybe this year you are thinking of entering your pecan pie, the wine you make or the beer you brew. Fair dates this year are June 23rd through July 11th. Each year there are wonderful exhibits, a junior livestock auction, live horse racing and all kinds of fun things to do. Start making your plans now. Also by visiting the above web site you can purchase tickets at a discounted price.

Each year my sister and I and a group of friends visit the fair - usually on the 4th of July and have a wonderful time. Our favorites are the gardening exhibits, the fine art photography exhibits and then we try to win our fortunes at the live horse racing. Make your plans now and maybe I will see you at the fair!
